Job Details:Applications are invited for the following faculty & staff positions for NIIFT, Mohali and its Centre at Ludhiana & Jalandhar. All appointments will be taken on probation for a period of two years and thereafter finding them suitable, there services would be considered for regularization:-
Designation: Assistant Professors & Administrative/Technical Staff
ASSISTANT PROFESSORS (13 Posts)
1. Fashion Design: (Mohali-1, Ludhiana-2, Jalandhar-2)
UG/PG Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design from NID/NIFT/NIIFT or any other reputed Institute with at least 3 years relevant experience in teaching/research/industry in a reputed organization.
2. Garment Construction: (Mohali-1, Ludhiana-1, Jalandhar-1)
M. Sc (Clothing & Textiles)/M. Sc (Fabric & Apparel Science) from a university of National/International repute with at least 3 years relevant experience in teaching/research/industry in a reputed organization.
3. Industrial Pattern Maker: (Jalandhar-1)
Diploma from NIFT or any other reputed Institute with 3 years atleast relevant experience of teaching/research/industry of a reputed organization or Matric with minimum of 10 years experience as Pattern Maker in an Industry with thorough knowledge of creating original patterns from sketch/photograph. Ability to grade sizes essential. Should have thorough knowledge of Pattern Making Techniques for Industrial production. Preference to candidate with knowledge of CAD.
4. Fashion Retail Marketing Management: (Mohali-1)
MBA (Marketing) or Post Graduate Diploma in Apparel Marketing & Merchandising from NIFT. Minimum 3 years experience in a reputed organization in the field of Brand Management/Sales & Marketing/Retailing. Preference will be given to those candidates having experience in Fashion & related industry.
5. Computers: (Ludhiana-1)
B. Tech (Computers) or B. Tech (Information Technology) or MCA from any recognized university with atleast 3 years relevant experience from reputed organization.
6. Sketching/Drawing/ History of Art: (Mohali-1)
B.F.A. with M.A. in (History of Art)/M.F.A. from a university of national/international repute with 3 years relevant experience in teaching/research/industry in a reputed organization. Preference will be given to those candidates having experience in Fashion Model Drawing, Sketching and latest trends of Fashion in Western & Indian Costumes.
7. Textile Technology: (Ludhiana-01)
B.Tech/M.Tech in Textile Technology or equivalent qualification from a reputed Institute with at least 3 years experience in a reputed organization.
ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS:
1. Accountant: (Ludhiana-01)
i) M.Com 2nd Division
ii) Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application from a reputed Institution
iii) Minimum 2 years experience in relevant field
2. Administrative Assistants: (Mohali-3, Ludhiana-2, Jalandhar-1)
i) Graduate in 2nd Division
ii) Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application from a reputed Institution
iii) Minimum one year experience in Office Administration or Accounts in a reputed organization.
iv) Preference will be given to the candidates having higher qualification
3. Library Assistants: (Mohali-1, Ludhiana-1, Jalandhar-1)
i) M.Lib Ist Division
ii) Minimum 1 years experience in the relevant field.
LAB ASSISTANTS :
a) Machine Lab Assistant: (Ludhiana-1, Jalandhar-1)
i) Matriculation
ii) Minimum five years experience in handling of Industrial Sewing Machines and other equipments
b) Computer Lab Assistant: (Ludhiana-1, Jalandhar-1)
i) BCA/B.Sc(Computers)/B.Sc (IT)
ii) Minimum three years experience in handling of Computers
c) Dyeing & Printing Lab Assistant: (Mohali-1) i) Three years Diploma in Dyeing & Printing Technology/Textile Technology
ii) Minimum three years relevant experience in the industry.
d) Weaving Lab Assistant: (Mohali-1)
i) Three years Diploma in Handloom Technology from any recognized Institution
ii) Minimum three years relevant experience in the field.
PAY BAND & GRADE PAY:
Assistant Professors:(Rs.10300-34800 + Rs.5000/-GP);Accountant:(Rs.10300-34800 + Rs.3800/-GP);Administrative Assistants:(Rs.5910-20200 + Rs.1900/-GP);Library Assistants:(Rs.10300-34800 + Rs.3600/-GP);Lab Assistants:(Rs.5910-20200 + Rs.1900/-GP);
The selected candidates would be placed in a minimum start of the Pay-band.
